The Abyssinia is a great shop that has been open in Hollywood since the late 1980s. It is owned by natives of Africa who sell beautiful African imports, most of them handcrafted by residents in various African nations. Hand carved wood items, jewelry, clothes, decorative items, and more can be had in this one-of-a-kind shop. The owners are friendly and there is an earthy atmosphere in the store. With the popularity of ethnic and beaded jewelry of late, this is a great little spot to find something the department stores don't carry.
